“A good leader can’t get too far ahead of his followers.” Franklin D. Roosevelt US President 1933-1945”
Leaders who have developed powerful leadership skills over the time and eventually become visionaries lead with strength. To be a strong leader it is essential to have higher performance standards. Mediocre leaders perform tasks and get busy doing while great leaders are busy investing into empowering others.
1. A strong leader is sure, confident and does not need to connect with the masses. A strong leader’s best investment is a high level of attention given to a small number of specific people. A mediocre leader is busy depositing little bits into a large number of people. Leadership is about having the confidence to make decisions.
2. A strong leader is always sure and does not act impulsively. Leaders can be a bit impulsive. We can get sidetracked by the next big thing. A strong leader will take time to assess the situation and make a decision based on facts. Many leaders make the mistake of acting before analyzing. After you have discovered your strengths you go about helping others developing theirs further.
3. A strong leader will not focus on weaknesses, but will focus on their strengths and the strength of others to help them be more effective. Know what knocks you off course and distracts you, and know how to quickly get back on course.
To develop a team of strong leaders leadership training is needed. Leadership training gives teams the necessary tools and information to go beyond their current abilities. By working with the team in the context of its everyday work and challenges, leadership training can provide new ideas and help teams see opportunities for improving team performance.
Most companies could benefit from leadership training but only a small percentage actually follow-through on that need. A strong leadership trainer assists goal-oriented people and companies, close the gaps between where they are now and where they want to be.
